Trick or Treat Event at Eastwood

Trick or Treat Event at Eastwood
October 26, 2008

While I (as Decepticon Soundwave) & Christine (as Elwing) were walking from the tent to the assigned area, we were surprised that the Teriyaki Boy mascot suddenly blocked our way and hit my Soundwave costume. The act obviously wasn’t necessary and didn’t seem normal at all. Other than misplacing the “windshield” part of the cassette deck, no other damage was done.
Hindi “natupi”
, mind you (as one of the cosplayers commented on a Multiply site).
Although the parts can be replaced and adjusted, it caused a delay. I take good care of my suits plus spend extra late hours just to prepare them. That act made a VERY BAD REPUTATION to their establishment.

We went back to the tent and tried to fix the deck. Christine looked for the cosplayers’ contacts/organizers. They came back to the tent and told me that they’ve already informed the Teriyaki Boy office and that they’ve reprimanded the guy.
My cat died just a few days ago and seeing those pets around me added to the grief. So that guy in the Teriyaki Boy mascot made a bad move to the wrong guy at the very wrong time.
The mascot, his assistant, nor any of the Teriyaki Boy staff didn’t have any guts nor courtesy at all to apologize nor offer help. As the mascot & his assistant looked on while we were “fixing” my suit, I gave him the finger thrice and gave him some piece of my mind.
I told him “Resign ka na!”. If he doesn’t, boy, will he be in real deep shit.

Mr Azrael and Mr Ronald gave immediate assistance and helped us fix the misplaced part.

I didn’t have to retaliate with a punch. (And even if I did, if it weren’t for my costume Christine, that Teriyaki Boy mascot head won’t be enough to save his face from being rearranged.)

Eventually the situation was taken care of.

Funny, I saw a former sensei and bowed to her with my costume on. Reminded me of control and discipline.

The pets were really cute. Most of the dogs were Chihuahuas, Terriers, Shih Tzus, Retrievers, Pugs, Sharpeis, Huskies, Pomeranians, Chows.

Compared with the crowd from other past events held at the malls, the crowd at Eastwood knew Soundwave better. So it was a bit uplifting. My gf had many admirers and I was happy she enjoyed the event.

Hershey’s were given to us as freebies.
